we've already picked up about five to ten inches of rainfall in portions of california, and oregon. up into southwestern washington state, as well. we are going to see more rain today, but a stronger storm is going to move in for sunday. that one also has the potential to produce another several inches of rain. we've seen wind gusts so far up to around 60 to almost 90 miles per hour. so these are intense storms that are just hitting the west coast from seattle through portland, all the way down into sacramento, california. even stretching as far south as san francisco. we do have a lot of rain out there that way. we are looking for another 3 to 5, even isolated 6, 7, inch reports on top of what has already fallen. this is mostly a rain event, as well. although we are picking up some mountain snow, it's more or less the rain that has been the biggest issue, along with those gusty winds. elsewhere we aren't really looking at a whole lot going on across the eastern half of the country. few light snow showers possible across new england later on tonight. just making the roads a little s
